I went on a month long trip to Europe in 2014, visiting ten different countries. This includes Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, The Netherlands. This trip was an amazing opportunity for me to engage in new experiences, broaden my perception of different cultures, and gain a better understanding of major historic events by witnessing the location in which these events once took place. These experiences made a deep impact on me as I felt I had a connection with the people and history in Europe. This trip broadened my view toward my marketing major in which I realized the importance of understanding the culture you are marketing to. It is essential to adapt to your target market by connecting with their culture, especially abroad.
